You need to have the full citation to find a specific journal article. In this example, we will look for this article:

Kellner, Rivka Temima. "J.K. Rowling's ambivalence towards feminism: House elves -- women in disguise -- in the 'Harry Potter' books." The Midwest Quarterly 51.4 (2010): 367.

  1. go to the library's homepage
  2. select "Articles" under "Search the Catalog"
  3. select "Title" in the search box's  drop-down menu
  4. enter the main title of the article in quotes  "J.K. Rowling's ambivalence towards feminism"
  5. if the article is in the search results, select the green "Available online" link if present.
  6. choose a full text option to access the article.

If the article doesn't appear in the search results, or there is no "available online" link, talk to a librarian and we will work with you to find other options.
